Riyadh Air Accelerates Expansion with New Bangkok and Manchester Routes

Riyadh Air has officially confirmed the addition of three major international destinations to its growing route network this September. The airline has launched, or is in the process of launching, scheduled Boeing 787-9 flights from Riyadh to Bangkok, Manila, and Manchester. This expansion is part of the carrier's broader effort to establish a robust network following the commencement of its commercial operations earlier this year.

The airline's capacity is projected to increase by nearly 19 percent month-over-month as a result of these new services. By targeting high-traffic corridors like Manchester and major Asian business and tourism hubs like Bangkok and Manila, Riyadh Air is positioning itself to compete directly for international transfer traffic. These additions grow the airline's total network footprint from 11 to 14 destinations, reflecting a swift and aggressive scaling phase.

Business and leisure travellers moving between Saudi Arabia and key cities in the UK and Southeast Asia will be most impacted. This service expansion provides new choices for those seeking alternatives to existing flag carriers on these busy routes.
